THE US NEEDS NATIONAL STANDARDS FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE COMMUNICATION!
The Issue
When you think about the United States, the most technologically advanced country in history, do you think we have clearly solved basic issues? What if I told you that the United States has not yet adopted national standards for Emergency Services?
Everyday, people rely on the brave men and women that provide Emergency Services to those in critical need. From EMTs in ambulances to police officers in cruisers, there is an enormous unending demand for service.
There are nearly 320 million people in the United States, all who have the basic right to be covered by medical and police protection, but those protectors don't have harmonized standards for communicating with each other. Together we can change that.
The FCC has the ability to set clear, unmistakable communication standards that US Emergency personnel like police, firefighters, and ambulance drivers can use to talk to each other. But they can only do this if they realize the need for National Standards. By signing this petition, you are showing the FCC that if the US wants to be technologically advanced, it must first guarantee simple and basic communication standards that everyone can understand.
Stand with all those seeking Clear Communications for those provide aid in our time of need, and harmonize US Emergency Communication Standards.
