Craig L. Chrisman was killed July 19, 1996. This young man was killed by a drunk driver Thurman Green. Craig was riding his bike along State route 22 with four of his friends when Thurman was kicked out of the local bar was given his keys to drive home about a mile away. Thurman was going 85 miles an hour when he barely missed the four boys riding along with Craig and hit Craig. He then drove away and because Craig’s bike cut the gas line Thurman abandoned his car and ran to his parents home. Later it was found that Thurman had escaped prison on forged papers . Six months from escaping prison Thurman was in a bar and driving drunk on July 19, 1996. Craig, a son, brother and Uncle was taken away from his family by the decisions Thurman Green made by choice that day. He was ordered to serve the max sentence of 5 years for killing Craig. He was also ordered to never have a driver’s  license in the state of Ohio. He was released from prison and once again  with a  paper mix up Thurman obtained his license and cdl’s. While he had a license he was driving a semi. He was parked on 22 one evening and again another young man from New Holland ran into his Semi and he was tragically and severely injured. During that time, the Fayette County Sheriff Vernon Stanforth assisted in getting Thurman’ s illegal license. He then advised Thurman Green he could not drive and all licenses had been revoked due to the paper mix up. Through out the years, Thurman has been seen by many people driving illegally.   Almost  22 years later, Thurman has petitioned the Fayette County Courts for his driving privileges to be reinstated. He once again must of misinterpreted the Judge when he said he should not have a driver’s license for life. The friends and family of Craig Chrisman are asking you for electronic signatures and to share on your pages to help the family in stopping this man from driving so he can not hurt another person.
