The name of the school was never a question or concern since it’s founding in 1981. McIntosh high school has been a part of Fayette county for almost 40 years. It is a part of the county’s history and Peachtree City’s history. The entire area surrounding the school is filled with the names of historical figures and Native American names. Many of those names are tied to Chief McIntosh. Why should it now be changed? No matter what happened there is no history worth hiding.
