Summary of Meeting with President Engh (Part 1)

Dear Signatories, Thank you for signing the petition to facilitate a dialogue with President Engh regarding reproductive health care coverage. Today, President Engh met with us for fifteen minutes to address the petition. Unfortunately, we have faced many obstacles reaching the Board of Trustees with the content of the petition. We asked President Engh to deliver the petition to the Board, but he notified us that the process of sharing the petition with the Board requires the letter to go through multiple committees for approval. According to him, the soonest this petition would reach the Board would be October 2014. We asked to be kept updated on this process and we will continue to share the information we receive with the signatories. President Engh made it clear that an open forum between him, the students and the Board would be unprecedented. (Part 1)
