I am starting this petition to raise urgent awareness and call for immediate action regarding the dangerous conditions on Hwy 3 between League City and Webster, Texas.

In November 2021, my son was paralyzed in a tragic motorcycle accident after hitting a dip in the road on this very stretch of highway. The impact ejected him from his motorcycle, and he was thrown over the Clear Creek bridge, resulting in a severed spinal cord. This catastrophic event has forever altered our lives.

Today, with a heavy heart, we learned that another motorcyclist has lost his life at the same location. This heartbreaking news underscores the urgent need for immediate intervention to prevent further tragedies.

We, the undersigned, urge local authorities, the Texas Department of Transportation, and relevant stakeholders to take the following actions to ensure the safety of all motorists on Hwy 3:

• Immediate Inspection and Repair: Conduct a thorough inspection of the entire stretch of Hwy 3 between League City and Webster, identifying and repairing all hazardous dips, bumps, and irregularities in the road surface.
• Safety Enhancements: Implement safety enhancements such as improved lighting, warning signs, and road markings to alert drivers to potential dangers.
• Public Awareness Campaign: Launch a public awareness campaign to educate drivers about the specific dangers present on this stretch of highway and encourage safer driving practices.
