I am starting this petition to encourage the Klickitat County Fairgrounds to allow use of the indoor arena for public events during the winter. We have a large barrel racing and gaming community throughout the Columbia Gorge and unfortunatly during the winter, we all have to travel 2 hours to compete at any events. We have a top notch facility for events right here in our community and it's a shame that we are not being allowed to use it. I feel as a public facility, it should be accessible to the public for events. The county would also benefit through increased revenue from rental fees and the community would benefit through increased business, ie; fuel, food, lodging, etc. Please take a moment and sign this petition to encourage Klickitat County to allow use of the indoor arena during winter for equine events!
