After dealing with COVID-19 for over a year, and having to make compromises and miss out on many normal high school experiences, our 2021 homecoming has been changed to informal. This is very different from years past as we have had the dance on the Saturday after the homecoming game, and a formal dress code. Changing this after years of tradition and already missing out on many other events it is unfair to change it without the students input. Many students have already purchased dresses and suits, and it would be a far less popular event. From football players and cheerleaders potentially being late to the dance and not even making it on time to the dance due to a long game, it is not ideal to have the dance directly after the game. Please sign this petition to show our school board how many students are in favor of a formal dance on Saturday. By signing this it does not mean that the dance will be changed, this is to show the administration that the student body is not in favor of their decision.Thank You.
