Update - Join us at Puketiti tomorrow @ 10am - the Te Karere Team from Maori TV are covering this

Greetings to all after what appears to be too long a silence! But we have been busy behind the scenes!
If you've noticed the 'encampment' by the Opua School turning circle you will be made aware that our failure to have the consents notified (or overturned) by legal injunction has resulted in a more direct course of action. Te Roroa, Te Kapotai and Ngati Hine hapu are joined by members of SOS in publicising the FNHL/FNDC destruction and sell off of our headland.
We would be overjoyed if the entire Opua community could join us around 10am - (or before or after!) to present a united front to the Te Karere team when they arrive to document the occupation.
We know that a Treaty claim over the headland is valid and this is one claim that Pakeha as well as Maori can work as one on. If you feel like dropping in at any time you will be made most welcome by Tony (Kute) Williams and his whanau and would certainly give support and encouragement to their sacrifice of time and comfort. Please join us tomorrow.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning!
A number of our SOS supporters have asked about making donations to cover our considerable costs. Thus far we have spent nearly $12,000 on lawyers and mail drops without counting the time your committee has put in to research, writing Letters and lobbying Council .
We have set up a 'Givealittle' page: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/help-us-stop-kellet-street-housing-development - if you could help us recover some of our costs and we thank you most profoundly in advance of your kind offering.
