Smoking off campus is a huge issue. This will force smokers toward the only 2 entrances to Fanshawe. Those who do not smoke will then need to walk through a cloud of smoke to get to class.

   As many students will not have time to get off campus in between classes, students will be late. Forcing students to go off campus to unsafe areas is dangerous especially for women and those with disabilities.

    Students living in residence will also be at risk for attacks as the area is already unsafe and no guards will be patrolling sidewalks at night for those who smoke but would like to follow the rules. There are no emergency call buttons off campus or anywhere near sidewalks surrounding it. The new law must be changed to accommodate those who smoke cigarettes and e cigarettes. 

   This affects all non smokers and smokers alike.
