Remember when the voices of Harry Kalas and Richie Ashburn set the tone for every Phillies game? As if two of your best friends were talking baseball and you were in on every part of it. Harry and Whitey were synonymous with summers in Philadelphia.

Sadly all good things come to an end. Time has passed...we have mourned the loss of our friend... our voice... our broadcaster...Harry Kalas. Now as we do our best to move on, it's time our voices are heard.

The Phillies did a fantastic job of adding the great radio broadcasting duo of Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen. These gentlemen create a similar feeling to the ones Harry and Whitey gave us. Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen get "us". They are one of "us". They revel in the moments of on-field perfection and perfectly articulate the pain of defeat and disappointment as it runs through us. They are the "Harry and Whitey" for the next generation of Phillies fans. For us, for our children...for those who remember how great it was to watch a Phillies game...even when the Phillies couldn't find their way for years at a time.

No matter where I meet a fellow Phillies fan (at a game, online, at the airport, etc) they all share the same sentiment...they want to hear Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen on the Phillies TV Broadcast.  I will personally deliver this petition it to Phillies ownership (and I do have access to them).  Thanks for your time and please spread the word!
