Alice in Chains helped start an evolutionary moment in music history in the 90's and has delivered countless classic albums like: Dirt, Jar of Flies, Sap, Facelift, Tripod, Black Gives Way to Blue. And their ballads go from hard hitting tracks such as Grind to acoustic masterpieces such as I Stay Away. The band has done more than enough amazing and hard work to be inducted, and many others agree as well; they have far more than earned their spot. This petition's purpose is for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to acknowledge the band's accomplishments as professional musicians and innovators. All members of the band deserve recognition for their talents: Jerry Cantrell, Sean Kinney, Mike Inez, and William Duvall. This would also induct deceased members Mike Starr and of course the ever-so-talented and magnificent Layne Staley. May their souls rest in serenity.
