Don't let powerful interests take Dollymount away from your family.

Many families, elderly, dog walkers and other beach users like to drive to Bull Island to walk on Dollymount. You will have seen that moves are already underway to stop you doing this. There is already a plan in place that goes much further - and the ultimate objective is to remove all cars from accessing Dollymount. No parking - no access. The amenity would only be available to those that live close enough to walk or cycle. This is not a local amenity exclusively for use by local people.

A powerful group called the  "Oversight Forum for North Bull Island" has quietly drawn up a five year plan for Dollymount and Bull Island. This group is made up mostly of representative from wildlife NGOS and ideologues. There is no representation on this powerful cabal for the people who actually use Dollymount - families, the elderly, dog walkers, watersports users, walkers.

Along with the plan to protect the habitats of birds, they have also quietly started on a plan to remove all vehicles from Bull Island. It is their intention that you will not be able to drive and park to access Dollymount - families, the elderly, dog walkers, waterports users, walkers. This agenda has nothing to do with protecting seals or birds, it is a separate agenda slipped in quietly. Don't let this amenity be taken away for people not close enough to walk to Dollymount
