Falkirk used to have their own ice rink. Unfortunately now they don't, therefore anyone in Falkirk who wants to go ice skating has to travel for about half an hour to get to an ice rink when really it could be only 5 minutes to get to one if there was one in the town. I know that people would like to have an ice rink again as on facebook the Falkirk Herald posted up the plans for the old rink and asked for people to comment their memories of the rink. 59 people had commented great memories of it and loads of them said they would love to have it back. Also I know many people that love ice skating including myself and my dad. It would also mean that kids and adults would get the chance to try a few sports without having to travel so far.
