As Fairfield U students, we were just told yesterday that the rest of our semester will be online. As imagined, having to focus while a teacher talks at you through a computer screen is very hard. We as students feel as though we are not receiving the same education we would be getting if we were in a classroom setting. Therefore, we feel as though it’s unfair that our GPA may suffer due to this new style of learning. It is also important that it is university wide, not just in certain courses. Having only certain classes be pass/fail is unfair to the student that may be having trouble in certain classes over others. Therefore, we are asking as a student body, to make classes at Fairfield University pass/fail university wide. It would make this new territory of online learning a bit easier, and less stressful to navigate.
