We, the people of Sydney and Australia would like to put forward a petition to SAVE any animals from being unecessarily euthanised because they have been deemed lost, abandoned or impounded at any pound or animal holding facility.

Dogs that "fail" the temperament test SHOULD NOT also be euthanised. They are angry dogs because they have been MISTREATED BY CRUEL HUMANS. These animals just need a bit of extra LOVING CARE AND RETRAINING by a person who cares. They at least need to be given A CHANCE. 

The owners of these lost animals often need extra time to find their pets as they can end up a long distance from where they were last seen often because someone has stolen their animal or it has accidentally escaped.

As animal lovers, we know that killing these animals is MORALLY WRONG and CRUEL. 

How come CAMDEN COUNCIL can go "NO KILL" and other Councils can't?  Congratulations CAMDEN COUNCIL for your common sense and caring attitude. 

What is your problem here? You like killing defenceless animals?

FAIRFIELD COUNCIL stated that as of 19 September 2016 that council agreed to a NO KILL POLICY. This has NOT HAPPENED. Animals are still being euthanised REGULARLY at Renbury Farm and other pounds and animal holding facilities when they are healthy, loving animals that need a loving, caring family. 

We, the animal lovers of Sydney and Australia want this senseless killing of animals TO STOP NOW. 

Please sign this petition below if you agree and it will be forwarded to Fairfield and Liverpool Councils first then onward to as many Council, authorities and media to put a stop to animal killing and to negotiate a better way of helping these animals find their owners or new homes without killing. 

There are animal rescue groups that can help find these animals their owners or new homes.   People can also help by fostering an animal temporarily until the Rescue group finds a forever home for the animal. 

If animals are desexed this would also stop the over population of unwanted pets and dumping. Councils could assist with this as well. 

The fees for adopting/taking an animal from the Animal facilities are also too high. More people would adopt / save the animal if the fees were less. Could a deposit down payment option plan be put in place instead for people who want to save an animal?(Paid over a few weeks even).  That would help clear the pounds.
