Scrap the proposal to limit freedom of assembly county ordinance. Ordinance would limit freedom of assembly to: 49 people or less not more than 3 times in a 40 day period.
The Issue
The U.S. Constitution makes it clear that "Congress shall pass no law restricting the peaceable freedom of assembly". This ordinance is a direct attack on our U.S. Constitutionally guaranteed 1st ammendment freedoms including: speech, religion worship, and assembly.
It would affect any large gather of people for things such as: home worship, religious (bible, koran, talmud, etc.) study, family gathertings, graduation parties, real estate open houses, birthday and graduation parties, dances, Family and friends BBQ's, home wedding receptions, fundraisers, and funerals / wakes, etc.
This is a direct attack on: religion, family, political freedom to assembly (1st ammendment rights).
Any other problems should be solved with existing or enhanced ordinances such as: parking ordinances, noise ordinances, commercial regulation of businesses, etc.
MAKE NO MISTAKE, THIS ORDINANCE IS ABOUT FREEDOM OF ASSEMBLY, not parking or noise (if so the text of the ordinance would state so).
