Petition updateFair Pay for Registered Dietitians: It's Time to Recognize Our Education, Scope, and ValuePetition Update (May 2026) - Almost 800 of us!

When I started this petition, it was just an idea — and honestly, a quiet hope that I wasn't alone in feeling this way.

Nearly 800 signatures later, I know I'm not.

What has moved me most isn't just the number — it's the conversations. RDs from across Ontario and across the country reaching out, sharing their stories, and saying "me too." We've all been quietly frustrated for a long time. Many of us have liked a post, nodded along, and moved on. This petition has been an invitation to go further than that — to turn agreement into action, and to show that our community is ready to be counted.

And the evidence keeps building that fair RD compensation is possible. The City of Toronto is currently hiring a Consultant, Nutrition Promotion at $52.38–$57.39/hour, specifically requiring a Registered Dietitian to lead student nutrition across the city. They know what RDs bring to the table. That wage should be the benchmark — not the exception.

To everyone who has signed, shared, and reached out: you turned someone else's idea into a collective voice. That matters more than you know.

We're almost at 800. Help us get to 1,000:
