In fact, a report conducted by the Economic Policy Institute found that after accounting for expenses like gas, insurance, and vehicle maintenance, ride-share drivers in Orlando don’t even meet the minimum wage. We are tired of being abused and we have no voice. We are offered trips for merely pennies to the dollar while these ride-share companies get a huge piece of the pie. Orlando, being a popular tourist destination with a high demand for ride-share services, should not be an exception. Inflation has risen the cost of living here and has increased driving costs. Orlando has the lowest paying wages for ride-share drivers in the country and im hoping we can change that.

Therefore, we are seeking to raise the rates for rideshare drivers in Orlando, Florida. This will not only sustain the livelihood of hundreds of local workers like myself but will also ensure our ability to provide consistent, quality service to passengers. It is time that we recognize the value of this work and ensure that drivers are paid fair and living wages for their service.
