With a 94% “yes” vote, the Kent Education Association started striking on Thursday for reduced class sizes and caseloads, mental health supports and comparable compensation to neighboring districts. The community support has been phenomenal. The parents and community members in Kent are aware of the long history of financial mismanagement, school board problems and underserved special education programs.
