As you may know, tonight 94% of the almost 1,600 KEA members present at the general membership meeting voted to strike, effective 8/25, unless KSD brings a fair offer by the end of bargaining Wednesday night. Our union is strong, and in agreement that we will not be taken advantage of and we will not give up on improving the conditions of students and teachers in the Kent School District. Increased mental health supports, reduced class sizes and fair pay are reasonable requests, and we will do what is necessary to get a fair contract. Please continue to share this petition.
