"As students of Maastricht University, we are worried about our final exams.

The exams are very soon but we still haven't received the verdict on how they will take place due to the failures of recent stress-tests. Many of us are also worried since we have no plausible way of fulfilling the needed requirements for the exams and furthermore have found it innately hard to study the subjects with the same vigor using the new systems.

I have attached a petition signed by over 250 students in the last 48 which showcases our concerns and appeals for a No Detriment Policy to be adopted for our exams until traditional education methods can be resumed. The measures proposed by us students are being widely recognized and adopted as the fairest solution to the COVID crisis by most universities in the UK and USA and are being considered strongly by universities in the Netherlands too.

We understand that there are variables outside of our control that we cannot influence and might not know the full consequences of. Yet, we trust you, the Faculty Board, Programme Directors, and Deans, to take the correct steps to ensure that this global pandemic sees our learning judged on a fair scale."

This is the email sent to Dr. Peter Møllgaard, Dean of SBE. I will post the response whenever I get it.
