Being transgender in Mexico or in Latin American countries
Some asylum seekers in the United States come from Mexico or some other Latin American country often face violence and abuse in their own country and a lot of times it's from family members and police officers, they usually have a very hard time getting jobs in the country they come from and often times they get arrested and abused while being in jail. Many times they leave their own country for fear of violence and also because they get murdered as well and they come to the United States to seek asylum because of the violence and abuse often times they are poorly educated and have a hard time getting jobs because of education and training. What's sad about this is the fact that they want to be treated fairly and often times aren't treated fairly at all and they suffer from trauma because of what took place with authority figures and members of their own family yet you see all this disinformation and lies that go around about the LGBTQ community and you have people who want to live their own lives without the abuse and want access to gender affirming care and be able to work and live in places to where they can take care of themselves and work without being abused while trying to live successful life's I added this in the petition because people need to understand that violence towards the LGBTQ community doesn't just happen here in the United States but also other countries as well.
