School book bans on LGBTQ books and disinformation
Bans on LGBTQ books is wrong because it is causing more kids who identify as LGBTQ to feel isolated because they aren't able to read up and study things about their own community and farther stigmatizes marginalized people and these right wing politicians and commenters make outrageous claims like we hang out around schools and go around grooming and indoctrinating children which is false because people like me don't have time to do that and for starters I wouldn't hangout around schools anyways because I have other things to focus on like working full time and on my off days I meet with a therapist and I make appointments with doctors and people who do laser hair removal threats so that I can focus on making my life better. The same people who use these false attacks on the community also attack educators and parents who support their LGBTQ children and make claims that educators and parents who get their children transcare are engaging in child abuse which isn't the case because educators are trying to get kids to learn and grow that they grow up and be responsible citizens who are able to make smart decisions and live successful life's and what should be considered child abuse is parents sending kids to conversion therapy to try and change their sexuality or gender identity, these teenagers fighting back against book bans have every reason to fight back because it is a violation of the first amendment free speech and what these conservative state legislatures don't think about or realize is the fact that these kids are the future and that they are going to be old enough eventually to vote these people out of office and that these kids have the right to petition and peacefully protest against elected officials and should peacefully assumable a protest because these state legislatures want to do everything to erase the LGBTQ community from society and want to keep the gender binary going which is false because gender is a spectrum and hopefully even if people don't sign this petition hopefully they take the time to read the petition updates and links because we definitely need more LGBTQ allies and for people not to believe every thing they read about the community.
