There are a number of wolf hating caucuses on Facebook, one of them is called "Washington Residents Against Wolves-WARAW". Here is the page: https://www.facebook.com/WashingtonResidentsAgainstWolves

The page is advertising against wolves and promoting wolf killing in Washington State, saying that wolves are not an endangered species, yet 3,500 wolves have been mowed down by legions of wolf killers in the past 3 years. According to the Sierra Club, Defenders of Wildlife, World Wildlife, and the Center for Biological Diversity, wolves are endangered and they need to be protected on the state level.

While there may be an issue with wolves killing cattle and sheep, I do not believe that Facebook and Billboards are a place to promote the hate and killing of an entire endangered species. Wolves are still in the low 50s according to Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife: http://wdfw.wa.gov/conservation/gray_wolf/packs/

Wolves are vital to our ecosystem, and we must support their growth and support property and business owners with non-violent alternatives to prevent their cattle and sheep from getting killed by wolves. Preventative measures must be explored, but wolf hate saying that wolves will kill our children and aren't endangered is not okay. How is targeting a species any different than targeting a race? Animal cruelty needs to have higher consequences and Facebook should not support this, nor should the Senators support the ad campaign without a wink of the eye.

When given sometime to be properly brought back into the wild and regain their stature, wolves will have plenty of wildlife to eat like elk and deer, and this will create a healthy ecosystem for animals to thrive in. After all, elk and wolves have lived harmoniously for thousands of years. We as a people could learn a lot from wolves as Native Americans doted on them for their pack mentality, ability to stay united, and their prowess and hunting skills.

PUT AN END TO THE AD CAMPAIGN AGAINST WOLVES! Sign the petition! Let's hold Facebook and Washington State Senators accountable for their indifference towards violence against living creatures.
