Kendall Jones is a hunter. A hunter with a strong fan base and plenty of influential power. Recently I have been seeing countless images and posts from her page making their way into my news feed. These images are of a small figured, beautiful woman sitting behind a bleeding corpse of a Lion, a Leopard, a Bear, an Elephant and many other amazing creatures.    
 
At first I didn't think twice and sadly scrolled passed them hoping that I wouldn't have to see another bleeding animal on my Facebook. However, within an hour of seeing the first one, another image of her sitting behind a giant Grey African Elephant with a rifle to her left and a giant smile on her face came into my view. It wasn't a pose for the camera type of smile, it was a smile full of joy and accomplishment. So much pride was coming from this young woman for the photo that was doing nothing but exploiting and glorifying the death of a protected and endangered species.This is when I started to look on her Facebook page shocked by what I had just seen.  
 
The opening post quoted directly from this young nineteen year old woman: 
 
"My 2015 'Bucket List' hunt is a Spanish Ibex or an Alaskan Brown Bear!! Both are beautiful animals and challenging hunts!! What's your bucket list hunt for this year??" 
 
To my disgust, after looking on this page for less than a minute I saw many photographs of not just her but many small children as young as 4 years old sitting next to their "kill" with a recently used weapon on their lap or propped up beside them. It was at this moment I noticed the 767,345 likes she has on her page.  
 
767,345 people in the world of Facebook have "liked" this page. 767,345 people have pressed a little button to say "I enjoy the glorification of killing defenseless animals and endangered species" This page is promoting the destruction and desolation of our wildlife by allowing this simple minded young woman to share her "kills" for the world to see. 

This page needs to be seriously addressed by Facebook. The below statement is taken directly from the Community Standards page on Facebook:  

"Graphic images shared for sadistic effect or to celebrate or glorify violence have no place on our site."  

What the Kendall Jones Facebook page does is glorify violence. It glorifies the destruction and violence towards animals. 

I understand the concept of "Hunting for Sport", I do not agree with the pathetic term however I do understand it and understand the appeal it would have to small minded people with huge egos. I do not agree that the killing of animals should be for anything less than to protect your own life or to put food on your table.  
 
Another issue I want to address is that I do not agree that the publication of small children with rifles bigger than the child while hunting animals should be allowed to be distributed on a social media site. These children are being influenced to see an animal as a trophy, not as a creature of this world. These children are being told that they are the dominant species and that they control what lives. These children are sometimes being placed in front of very dangerous animals, an Alaskan Brown Bear for example, with a rifle and told to kill. What happens when the small child can't withstand the force of the rifle? What happens when the child can't actually go through with killing the creature? The child is attacked by the scared animal and then it's the animals fault. A photo was shared by the Kendall Jones page today with an 11 year old girl sitting behind a 1,800 pound Brown Bear she had just killed. 
 
Not only is this page promoting violence but it is promoting children participating in dangerous activities and promoting children using weapons. I honestly can not understand how this is acceptable under any circumstances. 
 
As a society a substancial amount of people condemn and some even despise other countries and cultures that allow and train children to bear arms. So my question is, why do we allow and train OUR children to do the same? We justify this pathetic act by telling them to point the trigger at a different living creature and for some reason that makes it okay? No. It doesn't.  
 
I know that there is no hope on getting this young woman to stop her lifestyle but I hope that Facebook can see reason in why these images should be stopped and why her page should be put to rest.

We need to preserve what we have and look to the future of our world. In 100 years when all these creatures are gone we will only have ourselves to blame. We will miss the majestic Lion and the graceful Elephant but we not miss this young woman who influenced the world into thinking that it's "okay" to kill these beautiful creatures for sport. 
 
It saddens me that the main photo I have put for this petition is one of her "kills" and I do feel slightly hypocritical however I do want to make it very clear that I sincerely apologise for showing people but I don't see this petition succeeding without the strong support of people that feel the same as I do and the only way to feel the need to do something about it is to see first hand what the world is sitting by and letting happen.
