Stop all pet selling sites from allowing 'free' giveaways and 'free to good home' ads!

The Issue

Free To Good Home Ads are Dangerous!

Despite the fact, that you may have good intentions, offering companion animals as "Free To Good Home" can be dangerous. Many unscrupulous people pose as loving, responsible pet owners in order to get companion animals for very little to no cost. Sadly, these pets are far more likely to meet tragic ends, than a loving family... In fact studies carried out by PETA show that "a mere one in five animals obtained through 'free to good home' adverts actually go to a permanent loving home".

Just a few of these tragedies include:

  • Fighting dogs or bait to train them.
  • Bait to train greyhounds.
  • Sold to research facilities.
  • Sacrifice for satanic rituals.
  • Innocent victims for malicious pranks.
  • Breeding machine if not spayed or neutered.
  • Fish bait.
  • Snake food.
  • Simply selling on to make profit.
  • Animal cruelty and abuse victims.
  • Hoarders and collectors next target to be mistreated.

Whether the pet is given away on the street or advertised as free in a store flier, local newspaper, or online website, far too many companion animals suffer at the hands of fraudulous respondants of "Free To Good Home" advertisements.

These adverts need to be stopped. In order to reduce these terrible crimes. There are so many alternatives to 'free to good home'. Why should we let them suffer and constantly increase the amount of animals in rescues?

Every life matters, let's try and help give those loyal caring animals the home and love they deserve!
