"Pity [someone] isn't a woman [someone], then you could beat him up. Like you did [someone] when you were married to her?" Of course, that was meant to attack someone based on gender. So, I was hopeful when I saw the new reporting form: "Is this comment about you or a friend? Yes, this is about me or a friend No, this is about someone else" "Why don't you want to see this comment? This account might be compromised or hacked Hate speech Spam or scam Violence or harmful behavior Sexually explicit content" "This is hateful towards A race or ethnicity A religious group A gender or orientation People with a disability or disease" "We're sorry that you've had this experience. Here are some things you can try to resolve this. Message Sheldon Let Sheldon know that you found this comment objectionable. Block Sheldon You won't be able to see or contact each other. Submit to Facebook for Review Report this post if it violates our Community Standards." "You reported Sheldon Hodges's comment for containing hate speech or symbols. Also, "sexually explicit content" such as this is okay: "Logistics Depot = Mud hut where ISIS keeps their sex goats..." In essence, domestic violence and bestiality are okay to joke about on Facebook, despite Facebook's own TOS. Facebook has to start enforcing their own TOS. How will they be affected to do so, though, if at least 1,000 of us do not speak up?
