We want to remove the latest instagram update changing all of the animations and the way how direct messages are recieved.

For years we have seen 'johnnyappleseed sent a message to groupchat' until recently, where it had changed to the name in the bio 'Johnny Appleseed sent a message to groupchat.' This change was unwarranted, never needed or asked for and for the many of us who dont use a real name, confusing. This

We have also seen new animations for many things. Such as the sliding effect when you click on a direct message or a profile, which serves no purpose and was never asked for. Another added animation that ruined the liking messages feature for direct messages was the change of the heart icon, the heart icon has stayed the same for a very long time up until recently, in which it has changed to some sort of emoticon in a bubble at the bottom of the liked message, not just the classic under the heart we have had since liking messages was a thing. 

This petition aims to get facebooks attention and to remove the unneccessary and unwarranted features.
