My families cat Tigger snuck out the door a few months ago. After putting up fliers, looking everywhere, and calling the marathon county humane society, no one had claimed to see him. As to my surprise about a week ago while walking through the marathon county humane society I had spotted my cat Tigger who they had changed his name to Kumo. I sent them pictures of my cat and they responded saying that it was a match but I had to fill out an application for adoption. Well ok, I jumped through all their hoops and my references gave them positive feedback. When I called to check in they told me that they were denying me adoption of my own cat because they did not find a vet history for him. I have had him for less than 6 months. He is an indoor only cat that I had built a outside catio for so he can get fresh air. He was never sick since I understand cats diets to keep them healthy so no he had not seen a vet at this point. This does not make me a unfit gaurdian. Tigger has been locked up in a tiny cage that he can barely turn around in, and they feel that this is better for our cat than letting him come home. I have two boys with one of them being mentally disabled and he has cried and been heart broken waiting for his tigger to come back home. I need help in convincing the marathon county humane society to release our cat Tigger that they have his name as Kumo to come back to his family and get him out of that tiny cage that they keep him locked in all day and night.
