Facebook's review process for disabling accounts is incomplete and unfair to its users. Many people are facing randomly disabled accounts with limited explanations as to why, and no functional appeals process.

Many of these users are business customers of Facebook, who's livelihoods have been directly affected. Many of these users are longstanding members with no previous history of violation or adverse action. Some of these users have had their accounts compromised, and in leu of an effective recovery method, are now permanently locked out of their accounts instead. For many users, it seems an arbitrary algorithm may have locked them out of their accounts in error.

There is no number to call, there is no meaningful response from Facebook support. It seems disabled accounts are not even able to download their personal data. People facing this situation are at the whim of a massive corporation with no accountability to it's userbase.

We petition to ask Facebook to hold itself accountable and develop a pathway for account reactivation for users stuck in this situation. We deserve to be heard and are petitioning for that right.
