Facebook has made it very hard for individuals to see posts to pages because they limit who will see the posts, unless you pay to boost your page posts.  The less the page is seen the less followers, unless once again you pay to boost to gain more followers.  Facebook this is complete greed!

I have a dog with epilepsy, he is my pride and joy, his name is Patchy, https://www.facebook.com/patchysjourney and he was the reason I created the page.  He has over 2000 followers but his post never make to even half of his followers.  I am constantly seeing pop ups to PAY MONEY to boost his posts and to gain more followers. This is insane that Facebook would try to collect money just to boost Patchy's posts for more of his followers to see without having to go to his page daily just to check and see if there is a post.  Often I will get a message from one of Patchy's followers asking if he is ok because they have not seen a post, people worry, people become connected and care! 

Why should someone have to pay for page posts to reach their followers?  People follow because they want to follow the page, people are not up to date with majority of information because the posts are not being reached.  If the page was being seen more then there would be more followers, there is no need to ever charge to boost posts for a page that people choose to follow.  This is not a business, this page is not to collect any sort of money, its not to advertise a business or sell products.  Patchy's page is a COMMUNITY page.  Patchy's page is not the only page with this issue, there are many and people are fed up with Facebook's greed.  I see no reason to charge for basic pages that are used to raise awareness, a cause, rescue's or to tell a story, etc.  Does Patchy's and many other pages need to make the media in order for it to be seen like some pages?  It should not have to be that way!

Honestly regardless if it is a business page or not, Facebook is suppose to be fun.  Facebook was never intended to be something to pay for, so why force it just so our pages are seen more, it is wrong.  Facebook is full of ads that bring in millions a year.  Leave the pages alone, greed is very ugly.

Patchy's page raises awareness for epilepsy but there are many more pages on Facebook that raise awareness for other illness's, rescue's, adoption, causes, support, just for fun or simply to share a story. This would make a huge difference in so many ways, the more page posts seen the more awareness, especially for humans and dogs who suffer from epilepsy.  Think of the impact if pages did not require a fee to boost posts and gain more followers, so much more help and awareness would be spread globally for various causes and topics.

This is important that Facebook changes their ways.  I know for myself and many others we can not even afford to pay to boost our pages and followers.  People who can afford the fee's also should not have to pay to boost their pages.

I would like as many people as possible to sign this petition to have Facebook do away with their ridiculous ways to try and make money off of pages.  Please share this petition on your social media sites and lets join together to make a change.

Facebook it is not your place to put a price on pages for followers and for people to view posts!
