Facebook's temporary profile pictures will cost $1 minimum to donate to represented cause!

The Issue

So many people use the temporary profile picture option as a show of support for a cause without actually giving anything toward it. The temporary picture should cost a minimum of $1.00 with the option to donate more as wished. Facebook should team with appropriate organizations to collect and even match donations given. This should be a completely transparent record of the gross amount of money given and thus allocated that users may view. There should also be an expansion of the temporary profile picture option to include ALL global tragedy/need/civil right issues worthy of mention(eg: Palestine, Kenya, Syria, Iraq, etc. have not been covered alongside Paris effectively). People want to make a difference across the world, this would spearhead positive change and encourage generosity. When so many are saddened by the senseless deaths, the diseases, the natural disasters, and the helplessness of those in such scenarios this can give every Facebook user the opportunity to affect change through social media in a way that costs less than most Apps if they truly support the betterment of people trapped by unjust events. Social media could effectively lift up those in need and those who gave to them all by creating a real support mechanism for trauma and tragedy.
