While it may be too soon to say definitively, it would appear that the new design of the Quest 3’s touch+ controllers is resulting in far fewer reports of the onset of Controller Drift.  Speaking from personal experience, my Quest 3 is still drift free while my Quest 2 began showing drift symptoms after the first week.  Unfortunately, the touch+ controllers are not backwards compatible, but at least you can be a tad more confident in your purchase should you decide to upgrade to the Quest 3.
