There is a growing number of people and pages on Facebook that are obsessed with something called "Lolicon" and "Shotacon". I'll start by breaking down the terms.

Lolicon - shortened form of "lolita complex"; lolita complex being a mental fixation with the ideas expressed in the book Lolita, namely the sexual acts between step-father and prepubescent daughter.

Shotacon- same as lolicon, but when referring to prepubescent boys.

People take out these urges by drawing children engaged in sexual activities, often rape scenarios, and then post them to different websites, including Facebook. I have tried my hardest to report pages, groups, and profiles that contain porn or barely censored porn of this material, but the Facebook moderators refuse to do anything about it. Currently, these obscene rape images are in a legal grey zone caught between freedom of expression and obscenity/child porn laws. Being "technically legal", however, does not make it moral. Facebook claims to be a family-friendly site, but they allow depictions of children being raped to be freely published to thousands.
