Football has a huge influence on the attitudes of our nation. If the Professional Football Association and the Football Association introduced a policy to condemn violence against women and girls it would send a huge message not just to players but also to fans and the public. 

We are calling for the PFA & FA to place sanctions upon players automatic return to football if they commit acts of violence or sexual violence against women and girls.

If the message to players and fans, is that those in the game who hurt women and girls, and are punished by law, will also find their future less secure in the game, then they may become better examples of good behaviour off the pitch as well as on it.
