The written rules of the FIA are to be adhered to not manipulated to suit an agenda not written in rule. The integrity of the sport of F1 and sport in general must be upheld and the fans not deprived of fair play. 

Allowing a championship to be decided by an unjust manipulation of written rule cannot be allowed. The very fundamentals of sport are otherwise taken away and becomes unsportsmanlike.
