AN INNOCENT MAN WAS MURDERED TODAY, THURSDAY MARCH 5TH 2020, BY THE STATE OF ALABAMA FOR A CRIME HE DID NOT COMMIT.

SIGN THIS PETITION FOR THE RESIGNATION OF ALABAMA GOV. KAY IVEY AND JUSTICE FOR NATE WOODS.

THE ACT OF CAPITAL PUNISHMENT IS BARBARIC, VENGEANCE AND HAS NO PUBLIC SAFETY BENEFIT.

Another DISTURBING TRUTH: There needs to be a legislation to prosecute the people responsible for executing innocents since they now execute people to AVOID PAYING LAWSUITS IF THE PERSON IS PROVEN INNOCENT.

Nathaniel Woods, 44, was pronounced dead at 9:01 p.m. local time, the execution lasting about 15 minutes. He only had a bite of chicken before leaving the rest of his last meal untouched. He did not give a final statement.

"He kept his head and shoulders elevated on the gurney he was strapped to for the first several minutes of the execution, looking at one of the galleries and occasionally moving his lips. He held his right index finger out throughout the execution, an apparent sign of his Islamic faith. Woods later laid back on the gurney. He showed labored breathing at 8:45 p.m., and his left arms jerked against its restraint. Woods did not respond to a consciousness test administered a minute later."

Nathaniel Woods was condemned by a judge even though a jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict on his sentence. A death row inmate wrote a letter from prison stating Nathaniel Woods is 100% innocent and confessing to the crime.

Alabama Gov. KAY IVEY refused to stop the execution and the US Supreme Court denied a last-minute stay, after first ordering a temporary halt only minutes before Nate had been scheduled to die.

Another gruesome fact is that Nate Woods was unconstitutionally prioritized for execution because he did not want to participate in the execution process by opting for nitrogen hypoxia.

Woods' execution was the first carried out by the state of Alabama in 2020.
