Our 12-year-old son Keaton was murdered while he was innocently walking home from school. Killed by a man, Dolars Aleksander, who was recklessly speeding at 80 mph in a 30 mph zone. Despite proof enough for conviction, justice has been denied because Aleksander has yet to be held accountable.

This petition is not only about bringing him back to England to answer for his actions, but it is also about proving that justice can be served, no matter where the accused might be hiding. We believe the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has strong evidence against Aleksander, but without him in court, a trial cannot proceed.

Hundreds of suspected criminals are extradited to the UK every year. In 2018 alone, more than 150 people faced justice in the UK after being extradited from EU countries (source: National Crime Agency). Despite this, our family and Keaton are yet to see justice.

We're appealing to the government to ensure Aleksander is extradited from Latvia. We're asking for our pain to be acknowledged, for the rights of victims and their families to be placed above those who choose to disregard the law. This is our plea, our justice for Keaton.
