Spring 2023 High School finals for LPS have been condensed to two days, instead of three like years past.

Reducing the finals to only two days will increase the stress on high school students, because they will have to not only study for more the day before, but also make them try to remember more information over longer time, and make the day longer, causing more restlessness by the end of the day.

Right now, the finals are set for Wednesday and Thursday, May 24th and 25th respectively. Friday the 26th is set to be the first day of summer break. With only two finals days, we will have four periods on Wednesday, three on Thursday, and if you have a first or ninth period, those will be added on as well. 

While some people don't want another day of school, it would give students a less stressful last few days of school, and give students a higher chance at being successful in their class, giving them the final grade that they really need to pass their classes. 

We need to petition now to be able to get another day, adding either Tuesday the 23rd or Friday the 26th, and make the last week of school much less stressful. Please sign now, and share this link with everyone. All LPS schools. We can make this happen.
