We come forward as proud Canadians, individuals infused with talent, drive, and ambition. Despite our population standing at 39,742,430, we are not a lacking nation. As content creators, we opened ourselves to the global community while U.S.A was not on TikTok. The international audience appreciated our creative flair, and we yearn for the opportunity to contribute to TikTok's growing potential. Nevertheless, many Canadians feel barred from fully participating due to our ineligibility for the TikTok creator fund.

As TikTok content creators based in Canada, we're seeking equity and opportunity. Recognizing Canada for the nation's ability to create engaging, essential content should not be an oversight made by a platform as influential as TikTok or the Canadian government. It has been noted that the TikTok creator fund has the potential to encourage quality content creation and provide financial stability to many creators.

Our petition primarily aims at extending eligibility for TikTok's creator fund to Canada. Doing so would serve to acknowledge the talent and innovation resonating from Canada but would also serve to enhance the diversity and richness of content on TikTok's global platform as well as bring jobs to canada.
