Every day, like many residents of North and West Delhi, I face the exhausting and time-consuming challenge of commuting. The pressing issue is that it takes me as long to travel by metro as it does by car due to overcrowding on the existing Yellow Line. This leaves me utterly drained and takes away precious time I could be spending with my toddler.

By extending the Blue Line to Gurgaon, we can significantly alleviate pressure on the Yellow Line. This solution would directly impact thousands of lives, not just by improving the quality of our commutes but also by providing more time with our families.

Delhi metro's average daily ridership is nearly 2.76 million (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation 2019 annual report). By enabling the metro to reach further, we not only improve commuting times but could potentially reduce the number of cars on the road, which would benefit the city's traffic conditions and pollution levels.

The extension of the Blue Line is a feasible and necessary change. Let's improve our daily commute, lessen environmental impact, and regain some precious time with our loved ones.
