I'm a 9-year-old girl my name is verity and I homeschool which should be really surprising because I want to do this but I really want your help in  concerning the school bus route in town because some kids could get really hurt even die it's so devastating and if kids have a single parent mom or dad then if school gets canceled because of the bad weather they have to miss work. Please help me we need to do this together! I'm also a concerned citizen who believes that the safety and well-being of our children need to be prioritized. We witness kids having to walk to school, especially during harsh weather conditions, risking their health and safety. We need to rectify this.
If there was a McPherson in town bus route in town school would be less likely to cancel during bad weather. If there is a public town bus route then parents can go to work and single parents will not miss work as often.
Statistics indicate that a significant number if accidents involving students occur during their journey to school, and walking has been identified as a contributing factor in some of these cases (National Safety Council, 2020). Moreover, the  World Health Organization points out that exposure to cold weather for extended periods can have detrimental effects on the health of children.

It's not just about keeping our kids warm and safe, but ensuring their education is not disrupted. Studies conducted by National Household Travel Survey (2017) show that children who have access to school bus services exhibit better attendance rates.
