LEGO: Don't Retire the X-Mansion (76294) While Fans Are Still Trying to Buy It!
We urge LEGO to extend production of the X-Mansion and give fans another opportunity to purchase it at retail price.
The Problem
For months, LEGO Marvel fans have watched the X-Mansion repeatedly go temporarily out of stock, only for it to return and sell out again within minutes. Now, with its scheduled retirement in December 2026 approaching, the set is marked SOLD OUT on LEGO's US website.
This isn't a case of a set sitting on shelves with little interest. Fans have been actively trying to purchase the X-Mansion for months, yet repeated restocks have provided only brief opportunities to get it.
And the situation has become even more frustrating on the secondary market. Before the set has even officially retired, resellers have been listing copies on platforms such as eBay and Mercari for enormous markups. Listings reaching $700 or more are especially alarming for a set that originally retailed for $329.99.
Fans who want this set because they love the X-Men, appreciate the build, or want to add its minifigures to their collections should have a fair opportunity to buy it directly from LEGO at its intended retail price. They shouldn't have to turn to resellers charging hundreds of dollars above retail simply because they missed a brief restock.
What We're Asking LEGO to Do
We understand that LEGO cannot produce every set forever. However, when a set repeatedly sells out within minutes of restocking, LEGO should consider whether demand has been adequately met before ending production.
We ask the LEGO Group to:
Extend the X-Mansion's retirement date beyond December 2026.
Produce and release additional stock at its original retail price so fans have a genuine opportunity to purchase it.
Consider the sustained demand for the set when making production and retirement decisions, rather than allowing the scheduled retirement date to prevent further opportunities to buy it.
The X-Mansion is a major LEGO Marvel set celebrating the X-Men, a franchise with a long history and a passionate fanbase. We want LEGO to succeed, and we want fans to be able to purchase its products through official retail channels.
This petition is not asking LEGO to keep every set available indefinitely. It is asking LEGO to reconsider retiring a set that customers have repeatedly struggled to purchase while it is still officially part of the product lineup.
