Living in Wagholi, Pune, my daily commute to work in Kharadi (like Gera CommerZone, wtc, Eon Phase 2 etc) can be challenging. Like me, many residents, including professionals and families, depend on efficient transportation. Additionally, my elderly parents face difficulties reaching the Ramwadi metro station, significantly impacting their mobility and independence. 

Currently, the Pune Metro feeder bus, Metro20 Shuttle, does not extend beyond its limited routes, leaving residents in Wagholi underserved. This lack of connectivity not only complicates the daily travels of numerous commuters but also deters the development and economic growth of our vibrant community.

Wagholi is a rapidly developing area that has seen a significant population increase. Despite this growth, public transport options remain insufficient, causing inconvenience and forcing reliance on personal vehicles or expensive alternatives. Extending the Metro20 Shuttle to Wagholi (Baif Road, Kesanand Phata, Ivy Estate, Bakori) would offer a cost-effective, reliable, and eco-friendly transportation solution, enhancing the quality of life for all.

A seamless transport connection will facilitate access to workplaces, schools, healthcare, and leisure activities, bolstering community engagement and economic opportunities in Wagholi. Statistics from the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) show an annual growth rate in Wagholi that outpaces other suburbs, underlining the urgent need for improved transport infrastructure.

A well-connected transit network not only reduces travel time but also alleviates traffic congestion and lowers carbon emissions, contributing positively to Pune's urban environment.

We urge the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) to prioritize this community necessity and extend the Metro20 Shuttle service to Wagholi. This move will ensure a safer, more accessible, and sustainable transportation system for all residents.
