I am a tenant at 15 Brookbanks Dr in North York, ON. Like many others living here, my daily schedule is filled with work and personal commitments that make it challenging to find time for laundry during the current limited hours. This small change of extending the laundry room hours to be open 24/7 requires no cost to the landlord but significantly improves our quality of life.

The Canadian Rental Housing Index reports that over half of tenants in Toronto spend more than 30% of their income on rent (Canadian Rental Housing Index, 2020). With such high costs leaving little room for flexibility in our budgets, having access to an essential service like a laundry room around-the-clock can alleviate some stress from our daily lives.

Moreover, this adjustment would also provide greater convenience and flexibility for all residents who have different working hours or personal schedules. It's a simple solution that respects everyone's unique routines without imposing additional costs on anyone.
