Every year, thousands of students across Karnataka eagerly plan their future by applying to the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), an essential entry point into engineering, technology, and other professional courses. I am one such student, and my hopes of pursuing higher education depend heavily on this examination. However, a hurdle stands in my way—my Aadhaar details require updating before I can successfully apply for KCET 2026, and the current application deadline of 17-02-2026 is fast approaching.

I am not alone in this predicament. Many students like me are finding it challenging to make the necessary updates in time due to the short duration between the release of the application and the deadline. This scenario leaves us with insufficient time to correct our personal information on official records such as the Aadhaar card, a crucial document for application.

It will also ensure a fair chance for all aspiring students to apply and participate in this crucial exam.

By extending the deadline, KEA will uphold its commitment to educational accessibility and fairness, ensuring that no student is left behind due to an administrative technicality.
