J-Day stands as a much-anticipated event at our school, serving as a vibrant platform for students to engage in commerce and showcase their talents through their respective clubs. Unfortunately, over the years, this significant occasion has progressively diminished in duration—from an entire day to a mere four to three hours, and now, alarmingly, just two hours. Such a substantial reduction undermines the potential and purpose of J-Day, which was initially designed to encourage creativity, entrepreneurship, and social interactions among students.

For many clubs, this is a vital opportunity to raise funds essential for their operations and activities throughout the year. Selling and buying goods is a core aspect that not only fuels club sustainability but also instills valuable business and communication skills in students.

By extending J-Day back to a full-day event, we are not merely asking for more time but advocating for the restoration of an environment that fosters learning, growth, and community spirit. A full day allows adequate time for students to set up stalls, interact with peers, and engage with the school community without the pressure of time constraints.
