The residents of Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, Canada are currently underserved by the existing bus service. This service is limited and does not extend to full days or weekends, causing significant inconvenience for those who rely on public transportation for their daily commute, errands and social activities. 

The 433 currently only does 4 runs a day, 2 in the morning and 2 at supper time. This does not even come close to being sufficient. 

The lack of a comprehensive bus service not only hampers mobility but also affects the quality of life for residents. It restricts access to essential services such as healthcare facilities, grocery stores and other amenities that are crucial for daily living. Furthermore, it disproportionately impacts the elderly, students, disabled individuals and low-income families who may not have alternative means of transportation.

With the current state of the economy , targets of net zero and the carbon tax being  implemented, more people will have less access to driving their own vehicles. This highlights the urgent need for an extended bus service that operates full day and during weekends.
