The Issue

You probably don't want to pay extra taxes on more roads to be built to accommodate the Northwest Houston area's rapidly growing population, SO...unless we allow more accessibility to public transportation by simply extending a bus route that already exists, with the traffic beginning to get heavy on W Little York Road past where it crosses 290 and beltway 8, it will pose a huge threat to higher traffic and less safety for drivers and pedestrians alike. Not to mention, the people who live past the beltway 8 hardly have public transit access to the city, aside from one bus stop at the Cypress Park and Ride on Skinner Road in Cypress that leads downtown.
Extending the route will benefit Jersey Village, and it will benefit neighborhoods such Stonehaven, Copperfield Place, Northglen, Bear Creek Plantation, Eagle West Ranch, Settlers Village, Hollister Place Apartments, Carmel Creek, Beckley Apartments, Highland Apartments, Oakwood Forest, Winchester Country Trails, Winchester Village, Carverdale, and so on. It will bring more business to those areas PLUS reduce traffic and provide accessibility to people in those areas to have more bus stops in their area. For everyone who lives near the current stops of  route 3, this means you will have easier access to Lone Star College-Houston North Fairbanks, Northwest Point Business Park, numerous churches and mosques, 2 Krogers, a Home Depot, Fairbanks Library, more parks, Horsepen Creek, a sports center, various hotels/motels, so on. If the route also takes a short detour up the beltway and into Senate Avenue, people can also get to the Social Security Administration as well, which will be extremely practical. Then it can go down Brittmoore Drive and back to W Little York Road.
Now is the time to act, before traffic worsens and it becomes too late to fix the issue.
