Extend Budget to Improve Cleanliness of Our Streets and Community

Extend Budget to Improve Cleanliness of Our Streets and Community
The Issue
For the past two weeks, a possum's carcass has been laying on the street near my house. It's just so difficult to look at and it smells absolutely rancid. To me, it paints our beautiful town in a really negative light. It isn't only limited to just dead animals on our city's streets, but rather an issue with waste management and cleanliness in our city. Eastvale deserves to have their streets cleaned up as soon as possible. This leads to the main concern regarding the current inadequate funding for public works in our community. Our streets, where children play, residents stroll, and visitors form their first impressions about our neighborhood, are regrettably left to deteriorate.
Public works are the backbone of a clean, healthy, and proud community. Currently, however, we are struggling. Uncleared trash and the unattended carcass in front of my house are symptomatic of a larger problem – insufficient funding.
Investment in public services drives community development, enhances our quality of life, and revitalizes economic growth. According to the American Public Works Association (APWA), every dollar invested in public infrastructure generates $6 in economic return. More than that, clean streets help create healthier environments, leading to fewer health-related costs in the long run.
We urge our local officials to acknowledge this issue's gravity, prioritize public welfare, and extend the budget for public works to maintain cleanliness and provide immediate, regular, and comprehensive cleaning measures for our streets. Help us reclaim the pride, health, and beauty of our community. Please sign this petition and stand with us in pressing for a cleaner, safer, and more dignified living environment.
